About
Light,
Reworked.
We're a small Brisbane-based team that built the device we wanted to own.
We believe
light is
underrated.
RAE was founded on a straightforward observation: photobiomodulation has been used in clinical settings for over 40 years — for wound healing, pain management, and skin repair — and the technology to do it at home now exists.
The question wasn't whether it worked. The research settled that. The question was why it wasn't in more bathrooms.
So we built the device we wanted to own. Medical-grade silicone. Four clinical wavelengths. A form that belongs on a counter, not in a drawer. And a price that doesn't require a second mortgage.
We're based in Brisbane. We're a small team. We care about getting this right.
What we
stand for.
We don't overclaim. Every statement we make is grounded in peer-reviewed research. We tell you what the evidence supports — and what it doesn't. Both matter.
Clinical-grade technology shouldn't require a clinic. We've built a device that meets the standard of the evidence without the price that usually comes with it.
Foldable. Wireless. Ten minutes. The best skincare routine is the one you'll actually maintain. RAE is designed around that constraint from the ground up.
The people
behind RAE.
Former clinical aesthetician with a decade in dermatology practice. Amara founded RAE after watching LED therapy change her clients' skin — and realising how few of them could access it at home.
Hardware engineer with a background in medical device design. James tested over 40 LED devices before concluding that none of them met the clinical standard the research described. So he built one that did.
PhD in photobiology from the University of Queensland. Sophie leads our research partnerships and reviews every claim we make before it goes anywhere near a customer.
